Who are you?

Marc Lamain

What do you do in your day-to-day life?

I’m a student at the University of Amsterdam in Book Studies—don’t look at me like that, it’s a thing. Also I work freelance at an auction house where I do value assessments and describe books. Last but not least, I volunteer at VU Campusradio, but I guess that’s what this text is all about.

Why are you making radio?

Why are you making radio? Because I want to learn how to bring stories across in spoken media and am especially interested in the stories that everyone at the VU carries with them.

What’s the best song ever?

Right now the best song ever would have to be either The Flow by Daniel Norgren or Leaves and Seasons by Parisalexa. Who knows about tomorrow?

What rarities about you are noteworthy?

Phew, who’s to say? I guess the fact that I still do all my intimate writing on a typewriter… Nah, that only proves my pursuit of authenticity, thereby proving my inauthenticity as a millennial.
